December 2002 Report

The weather was great! Don't often get a chance to say that these days, started out a bit windy but soon dropped to a gentle warm breeze. Another new member Owen and his brother turned up with the old faithfulls Deane ,Donald, Kevan,Andrew Palmer and myself.Kevan is now really coming to grips with the circuits and will soon be blasting around the skys in great fashion. Donalds flying was a bit subdued as his Visa account had just come in from the last couple of wks of repairs ,how ever I'm sure he will soon be back to his usual self. Andrew put on his usuall display except this time one maneuver was very low in the pullout and we really thought that this was going to be rather a spectactular prang considering the speed it was going, but true to style he never showed a hint off nerves and we will never know if this was planned or not! Deane had his new Raptor V2 70 on show but servo problems are preventing any flights at this stage. A most enjoyable morning and thanks to Lindsy for the use of his field.   Colin
